Need some help with buying rgb leds

i want to get some leds but i dont know much about them. I am currently looking at these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006K0JYD8?ref_=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_t  are these good?

 

what else would i need if i wanted to cut the roll in half and use them in two different rooms?

I don't think you can cut them, they are all one long strip, buy 2 shorter ones if you want to do that:

16.4FT = 5M. 

 

Two of the kits you linked would be 10M of LEDs for the same price. 

 

@ryguy.j.wilcox@gmail.com Those kits can be cut just fine. Just cut every 3 LEDs so that there's a power patch for soldering wires and stuff.
