why z97 mobo but non k cpu?

 

It does seem unnecessary especially given that there is no room to upgrade (technically you can but there is no point) where you might put in a k cpu later.

 

i7 and a 960?  :huh:

 

Depends on what the build is for, but I think your preconception will end up being correct.

sry did not see the gpu,but getting z97 and non k its stupid,better an i5

You can't. SLi requires two slots running at least 8x. The H97 and B85 boards don't have that. They have a 16x and a 4x slot.
