I will be upgrading into a custom loop, in a year's time possibly.

Would it be a lot better than the Noctua NH-D15?

A lot cleaner but louder than the nh-d15. Nh-D15 performs on part with these AIO.

The problem with AIO Water Coolers is that it's not cooling as good like air cooler for the price, as an Noctua NH-D14 or a Be Quiet Dark Rock 3 ... the only AIO I know that is worth is Fractal Design Kelvin. Fractal uses AlphaCool rads, and can be upgraded, with the same pump/coolerhead, because it has G1/4, and you can get more in the loop.
