Steam continuously looses second games directory

This week I finished up my new gaming rig and steam has been giving me issues. steam is installed on my boot SSD and hence the default game install directory is on it. I created a second directory on my mass storage raid 1 array which worked well. the problem arises every time I restart the machine, as steam forgets the second directory exists. I remind it and I can play my games, but it is very annoying.

any ideas with this one? also if someone knows how to make steam actually remember my password that would also help me out.

Could you try it with Steam installed on RAID with games instead? Thats about only thing that I can suggest. Maybe contact to Steam support since its kinda special software issue.
