I haven't tried the DT 770 in person, and if I did I probably forgot by now.

However I have tried the HD8, it's light and comfy once you get past the initial clamping force. I wouldn't buy it though, due to personal reasons. I didn't like it's sound signature.

I'm a headphone addict in a sense.

7? Only 7 made it into the money shot.

I have at 8 headphones I'd consider audiophile worthy and 2 gaming headphones I never touch, along with a BUNCH of iems.

The Sennhieser DJ lineup has great build quality but it's paired with a terrible sound signature.

No, one is enough.

He's got full access to all my headphones, and owns one of them given as a gift.

The hd8dj is all right in comfort but doesn't sound really good the mid range got a very wired sound to it as if you listened through a towel.

The dt770 is super comfy one of the best out there.

I own the DT770s but in 80 ohms. Sometimes I forget I am wearing them. Some of my friends complained that it clamped on their cheek bone but they had a wider face. I bought the 80 ohms because ATM I only have a xonar dx to drive it (also the bass is nice on electronic music). No idea about the HD8s.
