If you were to use cards with different Vram in SLI it would work but only 2GB would be usable but you shouldn't go for low end SLIs one stronger card is always better than two significantly weaker cards when upgrading also I would rather get the 380 or 280X instead of the 960

Because its not all about raw performance, most people that I know buy Nvidia for features.

4690K // 212 EVO // Z97-PRO // Vengeance 16GB // GTX 770 GTX 970 // MX100 128GB // Toshiba 1TB // Air 540 // HX650

Logitech G502 RGB // Corsair K65 RGB (MX Red)

False.

I'm not 100% I thought you SLI if they're the same card but if they have different Vram then only the lowest Vram could be used or do they not work at all?

Heyyo,

@comcast , welcome to the forums and all that... but please, change your username. :P

As for the answer? You need two GPUs of the same VRAM count. There is hacks to neuter the GPU with more VRAM down to a lower one, I believe it's through BIOS flashing but flashing the BIOS on a GPU is less stable than a motherboard and you run the risk of frying the card if the flash fails and you reboot the system.

Hmm, tbh I'm not sure how or if it's allowed on LTT... but you can try asking a moderator. The Forum's Code of Conduct says any questions to ask slick
