SSD Boot drive

Go to solution Solved by Speedbird,

I hope you had no data on that harddrive, as you apparently managed to remove the partition if there was!

You can use specialized software to recover it, as long as you don't reformat.

Err, I think that this is a new unformatted drive.

@Amazingasian

Right-click on the hard drive in Disk Management (the long box with a black line on top) and select Create a Simple volume. It should be as easy as following the wizard.

After I finished building my computer, I got excited and went ahead and installed windows on my ssd with my hard drive still plugged in.  Now, Windows detects the hard drive but doesn't designate a drive letter to it. Should I wipe my ssd and reinstall windows and how would I do that?

In your start menu (or start screen) type the following command:

diskmgmt.msc{enter}

To start Disk Manager, from there assign a drive letter to your harddrive :)

Heres what it looks like.  How would I do that?  Thanks.
