Ok, so I've searched for an answer to this for the past couple of days and have found nothing:

I know Windows 10 will support cross platform multi player, but does that specifically mean that, for instance, my brother (who has an Xbox one) can buy Fifa 16 for Xbox one and I can buy it from EA Origins for PC and we would be able to play with each other? Also, does it mean that I would be able to play with optimized graphics (144 fps, 1440p, other graphics options not available to Xbox one) even though they will differ from the Xbox's graphics?

No it's only certain games, as far as I know it's only fable legends that supports it(so far), it's down to the individual game dev to implement it.

That is really weird, I wonder what they exactly mean cross platform support- I know the hold back is not only the speed of computers (which can be slowed potentially) but also the amount of buttons/hot keys across devices. I feel like it would simply be unfair and have people in an uproar if it truly was cross platform compatible (as far as gaming)

i think it would only effect if this was like 120hz servers rather than 60 or 30 bcus console fps is bad bad

how do you compensate for keys? Limit the pc gamer to 14 keys?

cross platform has happened before and it didn't go too well, I think it was an FPS game. certain games are fine for cross platform but FPS games aren't m/k players are just going to outclass the console player 9/10 times.

console players UI could be different, i.e weapon wheels are possible for weapons, but with keyboard it would just be assigned to 0-9. Also controllers often have buttons that do multiple functions like use and open that could be two different keys on the PC if you really wanted to.

idk. i think cross platform is a bad idea overall

Some games it totally makes sense, driving games, platformers, FIFA like in this example.

All right so then that makes sense. Another question:

If I buy a game like ryse or whatever for Xbox one, I know I'll be able to stream it to my computer, which is cool and all, but does that mean it is limited to the specs of the Xbox one? Or does that mean that I'll be able to take advantage of my more powerful PC graphics options?
