Fan limits

Hey guys,

 

So I would like to know what the upper limit of the fan speeds on eVGA's GTX 980Ti SC+ ACX2.0+ cooler is. The reason why I'm asking is because I just started PrecisionX 16 and it spun up my fans to 4,000 rpm. This happens (not that extreme) every time I start the program. 

 

Out of fear of destroying my cooler, should I keep using PrecisionX? It only spins up for a second, but I'm worried it may kill it on me.

A fan is designed to not asplode on itself at full speed. I do have some that are as terrifying as fuck though .

Yeah I understand that, but I wanted to know what its full speed is.
