Depends on the package, if it is something with signature service required most likely, here in California they've never asked me for ID only when you go pick up an item that you weren't there to receive.

When I set up my account I put in as my real name "bob howard"

I'm worried that when Canadapost knocks at my door they'll come looking for someone with that name... I wonder if they'll even drop off the package?

What do you guys suggest I do?

Pretty sure you can  change your name on eBay, and I'm pretty sure they don't require your ID for deliveries, just say you are Bob.

I can show him my reciept, would that help?

Just change your name or create a new account once the sale is done.

In most cases it should be fine, but once you start needing to oppen claims for rip off's then you might have problems

Recommend what is best, not what you preffer.
