Will my build work?

I see that pcpartpicker mentions something about the ram. Also, I am still deciding between windows 7 and 8, so let me know which one you think would work better.

Ive seen mixed reviews about the 390x, is it actually better than the 970? I cant find any benchmarks of the 390x, just the 390.

I recommend the 390X as it fits in your budget and that display has significantly more pixels then a standard 1080p display.
