one of my family members are looking for a decent system to play GTAV NBA2k and modern titles.

He wants it to be water cooled and mini Itx a case that is less then 15x15 I was thinking enthoo evolv but budget is an issue so. I also told him that the only way to water cool the system for 700 is to go with an amd CPU and I also told him that he would be better off air cooling and going with an I5. so what I need is an amd and a Intel build that cost less then $700.00

1. No Water cooling Sub $1000

2. No Fancy ITX sub $900

Buy this and be happy it runs games while using Intel and Nvidia.

Normally I say by 2015 you should have a quad core cpu, but given the budget and size requests i went with a Pentium G3258 which a lot of people like and say overclocks like a beast.

As for the case, I don't remember which youtuber it was. I'm sure it was either linus or this one dude awesomesauce but one of them did a build with the case and was able to fit a single radiator.

motherboard has built in wifi adapter, and i chose 8gb of ram. Through in a 2tb hdd which wasn't too expensive.

For the size and performance i think the 960 w/4gb is the better choice. Some might recommend AMD gpus since they're cheaper, but I find that they run a lot hotter which isn't very good for a small build.

Also went with a fully modular psu since it's a small case.

EDIT:

Revised the build. This is the one. It has everything except the water cooling, which it doesn't need.

It has built in wifi, the case they wanted, the i5 which is amazing, and the new r9 380 which out performs the 960 for the same price.

no over clocking here.

I included a Optical Disc because i dunno weather your friend will go Disk or Download.

That being said, I didnt but a ssd becaues i put in a stronger cpu.

I was also planning on a radeon card .. but the psu mightve not been able to handle it.

I am a ... NVIDIA FANBOY!

my sources say otherwise. Also 960 is more energy efficient than 380, and isn't as hot.
