No, highly unlikely as modern games tend to use 4-6 cores on that CPU even if there is a bottleneck it will be very very small. I myself doubt there will be one.

No it should be fine, But in a game like Battlefield 4 you cold see some performance dips, Just overclock the CPU to 4 GHz or 4.2GHz and you will be safe

The card? :D I want a 4 GHz GPU too! :D

Lol i meant CPU xD

Imagine the profromence a 4GHz card would get if it was cooled properly and stable

I think you need the idle temps to be at 0 Kelvin in order for that to not melt :D

Will fx 6300 bottleneck r9 270x

Yes, in games that use two-four cores (a lot of them) (my mums FX-6)  "CAN" some of the time at random bottleneck my stock 260x. (There is way more info to go into, minfps statistics are super low in a lot of games, not good, this is the most important value for smoothness/fluidity)

FX Information and why they are NO LONGER a good option for gaming (a more modern day world, more powerful GPU's to feed data to), more cores does not = more performance.

http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/page-5#entry3621417

/Dont screw yourself over, having to reinvest again after the fact of buying one, for a similarly priced better performing in many instances CPU like the Intel platform after buying an less performing similarly priced FX platform for a GAMING rig.

Many have done the same, many have changed their attitude for "The Underdog" CPU.

Testimonials from LTT-Users are in that link too.

/There is a more updated one with even MORE reasoning, I'm sure someone will post it.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
