Hi,

I would like take pictures under water at the swimming pool or at the beach this summer but I don't know what device I should pick. I have always been taking pictures with my phone camera so I have really no idea on how to choose a dedicated camera. I don't have a huge budget, and I would much rather invest on a waterproof phone than buying an camera costing about the same price.

I found this device that is quite cheap (about €40) : http://www.clipsonic.com/produit/camera-de-sport-hd-miniature-2/ (sorry it's in French)

This video was shot with this camera (the author claims that his window is affecting the quality of the video) :

What do you guys think? Do you think that shooting 720p video with a 1.3 Mpx camera is fine? Please note that this camera will be only when I have no choice (when I do sports), otherwise I'll use my phone camera. What other budget sport camera can I get instead?

Thanks

1.3 mx? ...oh man...

Mp is largely a marketing term meaningless for most users today but I wouldn't touch that.

that being said you have seen the footage the camera makes only you can say if thats acceptable for you, for me it isnt at all.
