yes that build should work but the disc drive is not needed with all the things you can just download

I wouldn't get the Kingston SSD. Crucial BX100

What do you do? Why do you need a 4790k? Is it just for gaming if so a 4690k is fine.

All this you should be able to get a GTX 980 or 390x

Kingston SSDs aren't that fast. I mean coming from a HDD you'd notice a difference but if you had like a crucial bx100 or Samsung 850 Evo and went to a Kingston 300 you'd notice it's slower.
