For a really long time I have wanted a line array speaker setup.  And to be honest I don't feel like forking out $600-$1000 PER SPEAKER to JBL or Peavey for a back yard project.

Does anyone have any advice on how to do this on the cheap?  And I am talking, REALLY cheap.  Like I plan on buying the speakers individually, and then going to Lowes and buying the wood, PVC pipe and so on...  I'll be posting a Amazon wish list soon.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

Sorry to cramp your style, but you're not going to be building a line array on the cheap. They're inherently expensive setups because they're 'high end'.

Also, unless you're going to be using these for a sizable venue, I doubt you would notice the difference between a line array and a 2.2 setup or the likes.

I am wanting to build my own, as in get my own speakers and build my own cabinets, and the whole 9 yards.  Because then all I would be doing is buying speakers and wood.

Im not going to be using them anywhere other than my back yard.
