I have an i5 2500 non K at 3.8ghz and an r9 390x in the same loop, the i5 has a 2 fan rad after it and the 390x has a 3 fan rad after it. Running prime95 and unengine heaven at the same time results in... the AMD GPU being cooler than the intel CPU? Right after killing the prime95 task the temp drops down on the CPU. I mean a 20 degree drop immediately. My load temps stay under ~60 degrees. Bad thermal compound on the CPU waterblock? It was a used block in pretty poor shape, but still kinda overkill for a 2500. Any ideas?

Cpu load temps 50-60

Gpu load temps 35-45

Ran rpm (guessing) 1200-1500 RPM

Never use prime95. Yes that is a little high for CPU load, my 8320 hits 60C with a 1.5v. Same radiator space but two GPUs. Also radiator placement in the loop doesn't matter. Try reapplying thermal paste.

the reason I use prime95 (I know it can damage CPUS) is because my older "locked" CPU is not really affected by it. I Have ordered some arctic silver, will see how it behaves.
