so i use audacity to record my voice my friend set it up before i reinstalled my os i reset my os about a week ago and i just installed audacity and the recorded audio is terrible (http://vocaroo.com/i/s1omiLcdUVMx) any help would be appreciated 

 

My speakers dont even fit on or under my desk...PA's FTW

Sounds like noise in the mic... I can also hear some clipping...

 

are you using the front audio plug?

im using the back audio plugs 

 

Do you have anything else that you can use the mic on? From what I can hear, it's got a broken diaphragm... this is to rule out that possibility...
