Looks like you'll need a permit (and the employer will too) in order to work under the age of 18 in California. Anywhere that hires you without going through the proper processes is likely to be unprofessional. 

Yeah I guess, it's just the people I work with cause too much unnecessary drama and I honestly just don't know how they haven't been fired yet.

Yeah I know turning 16 will open more places for me to work at but I really don't want to wait.

What the hell, is this for real? Man that sucks. Where I am in Australia all you have to be is 14 & 9 months or something and then you can get a job at the local supermarket, Maccas, KFC, Hungry Jacks, Subway, Kmart, whatever, basically anywhere in retail that doesn't count on you having to be 18+ to sell alcohol or tobacco.

Does anyone know a place that allows people at least 15 and over to work in California? I currently have a job but it's shit pay and is totally unprofessional. So if anyone knows places that higher at the age of 15 and a half then that would be perfect.

at 15 if you want to be professional your best bet is trying to get an internship, some are paid but some are not, either way it will benefit your future,

An internship doesn't sound too bad but I really don't know where I could be an intern.

internships are meant to give young people a taste of what it would be like to work in that field. For example if you are interested in fashion, you would search for an internship at a fashion company. just start googling internship programs in your area. Usually there are internship programs designed to help high school kids find an internship.

Mcdonalds and Subway are the only ones I know that will hire people 15. It costs the company more because they need a special insurance thing but then thy don't have to pay you minimum wage because you can't work full work hours due to child labor laws. So basically wait a year for the better.

i would have suggested publix but u probably never heard of it due to its ubiquity in the southeast united states only. Its a real shame. The pays good, hires at 14, respects empolyees, and has schedule flexebility. wrong place at the wrong time man. i feel you. just keep looking, im sure you'll do just fine give a couple more weeks on your job search.
