PB238Q has a 6ms response time, while the VG23AH has a 5ms response time. And the VG23AH supports 3D. They're both IPS panels. VG23AH also has two HDMI inputs and one Display Port. The PB only has one HDMI and no Display Port.

Well I noticed the response time and the rest, but 1ms difference isn't noticeable lol. But according to newegg, the VG23AH IS IPS...

3D/Non 3d?

those are 2 IPS panels.. the surprising thing is that the 3d one is cheaper :O

I wonder why I've never heard of the VG23AH then, seems like it's better and cheaper…I always hear pb238q.

Is your friend deciding to get one of these? The VG has overall better reviews(since it has more and still maintaining a 4 star rating) and is cheaper.

The refresh rate of both monitor are identical: 60Hz. 3D is passive 3D, basically like 3D IPS TVs

Response time is bogus value, here I explain why:

http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/29257-how-noticable-is-response-time/?p=372554

The PB238Q, features 0 bright/stuck pixel warranty and 5 or more dead pixel, with no zone or distance.

The VG23AH is 3 or more bright/stuck pixel and 5 or more dead pixel, with no zone or distance.

The PA238Q also have DisplayPort, while the VG23AH doesn't.

By the looks of it, the PA238Q look higher built quality, and it is also, fully non -glossy, while the VG23AH has it's enclosure glossy, which can be annoying, and for sure, like anything that is glossy plastic, will show all the micro scratches as you dust off the monitor, despite using the softest cloth in existence.

Hmm maybe I will go PB238Q for sure. I may finally be getting my rig and wasn't sure if I could save a little but now it doesn't seem worthwhile. Thanks!
