Need a new PSU

I'm using an EVGA NEX750B, and it gives out under 4k gaming with my R9 390. I have +/- $180 to work with, and I plan on adding another 390 down the line.

The wattage checks out, will it have enough voltage for 2 GPU's?

Since you plan on adding a second 390 down the road I'd get this PSU.

It is top rated on jonnyguru and will give you plenty of room to add the second card, plus any overclocking you may do. This, in my opinion, would be your best bet. 850 will just barely be enough with no headroom.

No. With 2 390s, which the op plans to get, wattage needs are going to be around 750 watts. If the op gets an 850 watt PSU that would put his PSU usage at around 88%, and not under load at that. While he could use it, that would be very little headroom to breathe for stuff like overclocking. He would have lots of headroom with a 1000 watt PSU. A psus best efficiency is at 20%, 50%, and 80% draw. 50% being the sweet spot. The 1050 watt unit would put him at around 71%. Which is a good headroom. You shouldn't push your PSU at its limits in as much as red lining a cars engine, constantly, can lead to a break down. Also being at a more efficient percentage leads to less heat. Which, in the computer world is a good thing.

I can get the wattage, but the efficiency isn't that important. You only need great ripple performance and what not.

You are correct about the efficiency. It really only matters if you live in a place where the cost of the power is high, but efficiency also is about heat dissipation. Which is a critical factor in a computer. Less heat means longer lifespan for parts. 80+ efficiency means that 20% or less of whatever power isn't used is dissipated as heat. That is why it is a plus to get a PSU with 80+ rating. Anything not rated at 80+ means that more heat is output into your computer.
