Have you ever used a 38x120mm fan and what did you use it for. They can be rated at over 250cfm, peak at over 60db and can be up to 30watts (linus would love that bit :P ) . Mine sounds like a tornado with afterburners on.  :D

Delta fans they are called if i remember.

 

Used them one time but i hated the sound so much that i sold them ... Also they were just sooo powerhungry

lol they are terrible. 240cfm isn't bad though. :P it does weigh a fair bit too.

I would love these for a few servers I am making at work. They are virtualization servers that provide the computing horsepower for many computers in an office. They will run VMware 9.0 and will run multiple end user pc's for employees.

as long as the room its in is sound proof they would be perfect you would only need a few to supply plenty of airflow
