Need help with Bro's PC

Go to solution Solved by Riddler356,

found a build that will work, sorry to bother you.

My current build http://pcpartpicker.com/p/6ddsQ7

If possible i want to minimize it to $500 [uS] without losing much performance

already have case, storage disk drive, and os.

Stipulations:

1: Must be new parts

2: Hard limit on $550 [uS]

3: 4 core (because of stupid games like unity), and 8gb ram

4: GPU that can handle fall out 4s recommended specs at 900p high-ultra

5: Amazon only (preferably during prime day)

I will monitor this constantly for the next few hours, thanks for any help in advanced, sorry if this came out as rough, but my brother is joining the glorious PC mustard race, and I want to get it right for his first gaming rig.

[Edit]: Stipulation #6 must have third party heatsink, i.e hyper 212 evo, h100, ect.

Nothing to see here, move along

its your loss. if I go any lower thats just your brother losing preformance..

I know, but unfortunately that is the only place i also have credit, i won't have enough (with current plan) for 3mo and he needs a pc (gaming systems broke) soon, like less than a week.

Bottleneck inbound for sure.

where?

the tower is more than enough for the cpu even at 4.4ghz from most user posts with that config, cpu is nearly as powerful as mine, mobo doesn't seem to have problems, 8gb ram for a basig gaming rig and daily driver is plenty, i already have a 500gb disk drive for mass storage, and the ssd is simply for boot drive, graphics card isn't bad, it's better than most other cards i could have gotten where it has to be factory sealed new, psu is within the specs even for more power hungry components (gpu withstanding).

-That CPU will not be able to handle that GPU in a handful of games.

-The corsair CX series is uter shit.

-The motherboard will melt/fail if you ever try to overclock.

-The GPU is overpriced.

-The SSD will fill up and slow down after you start to install program files onto it.

simple gaming, i've seen this combo work with a 770.

from personal experience cx hasn't been  a problem

not overclocking

overpriced or not, it was the best option due to case restraints in cooling performance

ssd is only for os, the hdd i already have is for program files.

-That thing will not fully utalize the GPU in CPU intestine games and you will waste GPU performance.

-The quality of the CX series is to low to justify the cost, and they are known to fail regularly, I have known of three cases of catastrophic failure personally.

-why would you put program files on a HHD when you have SSD, So counter intuitive.

I see what you mean by the cpu thing now, and i agree, but the gpu will be with him for longer than the rest of the pc due to how he treats and still uses his old 90's era agp graphics cards.

i know the cx is low, and i can see why you said what you did from your personal experience, i guess i have been lucky.

the ssd is simply a boot drive, he doesn't care about the program increase, just an increase in boot time.

Nothing to see here, move along

If you wanted I could recommend a more reliable power supply.
