so i purchased GRID in the steam sale and when playing i get a really annoying buzzing through my speakers, it changes pitch as i go through the menu, i have updated my audio drivers and this has not solved the issue. The game as stated was purchased through steam so should be up to date. Anybody have any ideas? thanks in advance. Ky

Do you only have this problem in GRID? Are you sure your sound cable in plugged in correctly?

Sounds like coil whine. Other things in your system are probably effecting your sound card or whatever you have.

it is only happening in GRID, all other games and movies and so on are fine.

Are you using the onboard sound card or a dedicated one?

Its not harmfull btw tough anoying if seen people use nail polish to fix the whining, but bassicly just limit fps don't let it exceed like 120 fps for example.

During some loading screens for example fps can exceed like 1000 fps thats when it usualy starts to whine.

Well that's the thing it was coming through the speakers not from the pc. Also I just used fraps and it's locking to 60fps so all good, again thanks for the help.

the thing i mentioned comes from gfx card if limiting fps helps.

if its the psu then i think its time for new psu.

mute sound turn of speakers see if still hear it.

Well it's definitely the gpu the psu is about 6 hours old lol

you have to test it to be sure, never heared of doa's ? that can mean damaged on arival to stop trusting new hardware so much they can be bad to.

i'm not that much of a noob lol it was only happening in that game, TR was fine, Assassins creed was fine, so was Gears of War, running Prime 95 it was fine for 6 hours to test the OC stability was fine lol
