Hi, I recently made a post asking if this PC layout is any-good, most of the replies I got said it was fine but asked if I really needed 32GB or RAM, I dont need the 32GB of RAM and I will happily go down to 16GB, but my question is, what should I spend the money I save on?

Intel i7 core 4GHz, ASUS MAXIMUS 7 HERO Z97 Gaming Motherboard, 32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RAM, MSI GTX 980 GPU, 3TB HDD, 2x 240GB SSD, Pioneer x16 Blu-Ray Writer, 300Mbps Wireless PCI Card, Cheap sound Card, 600W Corsair Power Supply, Aerocool X-Preditor X1 Devil Red Gaming Case, Be quiet! BK009 PureRock CPU Cooler, 3x 120mm Corsair SP120 High Air Flow RED LED Fan Pack, all running on windows 8.1.

Thanks to anyone who can help me.

but my suggestion is..

Get a better power supply.

480GB SSD if you are into it.

Why the cheap sound card?

Just use no sound card

Im new to PC building and I must admit, I have no clue what a sound card does or is used for, so I thought about getting one to test it out.

You don't need one

whats up with the 32GB RAM. Are you animator? do you render much? 16GB is fine dude. Dont waste your money.

Any fan will hold back dust, the question is how humid is your place and also how efficient the fan is.

Is that a 980 in the build?  I would definitely up that to a 980Ti with the extra money.  The price/performance ratio is just so much better.

Aerocool cases are all budget cases. Cheap feeling, airflow might be decent but might not, too flashy.

As for 4k, you'll need 2 980s to run 4k at decent fps.

Edit: If you just want to run 4k for productivity and not gaming, then it'll be fine. For gaming, I would recommend 2 980s.

Do you think 1 980Ti could run 4K gaming?

According to benchmarks the 980ti can play 4k quite well demanding games like Farcry 4 might need settings turned down but slightly older titles like battlefield 4 I saw a benchmark at 4k with ultra pre-sets getting 50fps +
