Do you think this machine could run 4K?

I would say this could run 4K. But with your graphics pretty low, maybe get the 980ti instead of the 980? Itsa better chip with 2 extra GB's of VRAM on it, you could bump up the graphics a bit with that.

Maybe throw in a watercooler? Much better if you i7 can over clock.

According to benchmarks the 980ti can play 4k quite well demanding games like Farcry 4 might need settings turned down but slightly older titles like battlefield 4 I saw a benchmark at 4k with ultra pre-sets getting 50fps +

Okay thank you, 1 more question tho, how many fans do you think i need, the sace im gonna use comes with 4, pre installed, will i need more?

I don't think the amount of fans is really that important as long as you have positive air pressure 4 should be fine, will you be using fan controllers or controls through software or anything like that?

Custom PC:

Intel Core i7 5960X GTX1080 Strix | 64gb 2400mhz DDR4 Corsair Vengeance Ram | Samsung S951 256gb M.2 | 4TB WD Blue SSHD | EVGA Supernova G2 1300watt PSU | Acer XB270HU | Corsair K95 RGB | Corsair M65 RGB |

That case is a pretty big case so airflow shouldn't be an issue in my rig I use 14 fans but my case is literally huge like 1.2m x 0.8m lol and most the time I only run 4 of my fans I only turn the rest on when I am rendering Video :P

Okay thanks, so i wont need water cooling?

Water cooling is fairly advance and only really needed if you want to overclock everything a lot, closed loops are ok but I personally don't like them if you want a good recommendation for a aftermarket cooler rather than a stock cooler my recommendation would be the Coolermaster hyper 212 for the money it has amazing cooling performance but the cooler all depends on if you are going to be overclocking your CPU

Do you think 1 980Ti could run 4K gaming?

Not at the highest settings. 2 980 is what I would recommend I'd you want your fps to be above 60 most of the time. That is unless you only play not that demanding games.
