Dark rock 4?

Hi guys. I've got a question, does any of you know if bequiet is planning to release dark rock 4 or pro 4 anytime soon? If any of you know if there are any rumors? I heard that there will be a new version of silentwings fans later this year. I wanna buy a dark rock pro 3 this week and just worry that I will end up like with my gpu (I bought a gtx 770 2 months before the release of 9-- series, because I was told that it won't be released for a long time ).

I haven't heard anything about, but it's a air cooler it's not like they can change much.

They haven't announced anything. And a CPU cooler isn't really the type of thing to start many rumours. It's not exactly exciting like a graphics card or CPU release is. 

 

I would expect them to make a new one though. Maybe it will turn up after Skylake releases.

honestly, there isnt much to upgrade at this point. (except the fans, fans should always be innovating)

I have the dark rock pro 3. It already is pretty freaking good, I would guess the dark rock pro 4 would be very similar to the dark rock pro 3 in terms of heatsink structure, and include the new Silent Wings 3 fans.

just buy the 3, it's a excellent cooler.

 

currently running my 4790k(no OC atm) at 9-7 degrees celsius above room temp on idle and it's very quiet, if they are going to release a 4 it will take while for sure since there isnt any official news about it.

I recently bought a corsair H105, it's been out for over 2 years, don't wait for coolers releases, it's an entire different market dynamic since the product only becomes irrelevant once there are better cheaper options on the market, the dark rock 3, the Phanteks PH-TC14PE and thermalright silver arrow are excelent coolers and have been out for ages, even the budget sweetheart, the Hyper 212 EVO is pretty old, heatsinks simply don't become irrelevant all of the sudden, the NH-D14 ruled for 5 years and its still an excelent cooler for people who bought it, so, chill out and get what you want

I know this ain't your question, just felt compeled to recomend the cryorig R1 ultimate, same price, better performance and i just love the looks, almost bought it but i chose an AIO
