I stand by the TP-Link series. Used quite a few of them over the years and never had a problem. I use the TL-WN881ND 300Mbps version, but I would suggest picking whatever one suits your needs and budget.

i have two tp-link routers, both of them still work, but i hate their guts...

 

TP-link works, but dont expect anything amazing for them...

Really? I've never had a problem with them. What happened with yours?

the wifi on both of them is rather.... underperforming lets say. they lack the wall-piercing ability of more high end devices.

 

and the both of them have the occasional crash, i stopped bothering with that tho.

 

at least its better than the D-link my parents thought was perfectly fine, and WEP was still acceptible in 2014...
