Would like some information.  Is an intel Core i5 2500k for £114.99 a good deal?

its an ok deal but you can get  better

I've found another one for £99.95 is that a good deal because i'm trying to save as much money as possible so that I can put alot of it into a graphics card

i5 for 99 pound is good yes go for it ! thats i3 price !

£115 doesn't sound bad to be honest for a CPU which isn't a million miles away from the Core i5-4690K. Get a decent Z77 board and you'll be good to go. The board I have cost me something like £90 about 8 months ago and the CPU was meant to be £130 but knocked £10 off of it.

I can get an asus P8Z77-V for around £50 to go with it

Personally I would get a new one and get the warranty. Even though it is old now they're still good. I've never seen any issues with mine so far.

i got a used one for £60, but they normally go for around £80.

£114.99 is a little rough, picked up a 2550k for £103.11 (USD equivalent), but I'll guess that UK/EU prices are going to be a bit steeper than US.
