Box Hoarder

So, im curious. I keep every box for everything i buy until I sell it or get rid of it and its the same with receipts (For larger things i.e Monitor, Computer case) The only time i get rid of a box is if it is just massive like TV boxes or things like that. I probably have 25 boxes right now.

 

Should i just through them out? Or should i keep them just in case? Also, does anyone else do this?

You will always want to retain receipts - so that's good practice. You can never have too many boxes, saves you having to buy them when you go on to sell something..

I like to keep a box or two around. To chuck a broken PSU in a shoebox rather than buying a box at the post office.

Okay. I always thought it made perfect sense but my family had commented on it today and i wanted to see if i was the only one or not :D

I personally don't do it and I would just throw them out because they take up too much space. The only time I wouldn't throw the box out is if it was something collectable or something that would have the potential to become collectible.

I put all my boxes into bigger boxes so every box from my pc fits in my 900D box :P

Why have i not thought to do that? I put all mine in my closet because i just dont use it. :D Also, I usually keep the packing material so this might get tricky :D

Sadly I had to throw most of mine away. It's always nice to keep them though but then again I'm the kinda person who likes to keep loads of old junk :D I mean you'll never know when you'll need something!

I sent in my corsair H80 Recipt when I RMA'd it the first time. Now I can't RMA it again. I'm so upset :/

Then you'd have to unboxbox your boxes to find the correct box. Interresting!

same but the 900D box is so damn big I just shove the packaging in it too :P

I have a drawer full of invoices I need to burn because I kept hoarding them for no reason.

Exactly. Hence why digital copies are that much better

I just  throw all the boxes down in the crawlspace at my house.

I have a bunch of hardware boxes. They don't take up too much space though most of them are inside of my define r4 box lol.

I normally keep box's for a month or so to be sure then throw them away.

If you have space for all of them I guess there are only benefits from keeping them. Who knows if you will ever need them again.

The only box that I've kept is my case box, so that if I sell my system or moving out or a haul to baltimore for a lan party or something, ill have the box and the Styrofoam.
 

Actually since it's so big, I put it to the left of me against a wall, and threw a blanket over it, and use it as more desk space

i have all the boxes for my build apart from case box there all stacked up nicely and decoratively on my shelf
