Best CPU AIR cooler for my new custom build.

EnSabahNur

Because this forum here always seems to have the very best and knowledgeable community around, I thought I'd post my question to those who know more than myself.

In short, I'm making a new custom rig for a friend in this mini tower linked here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811108457 , and because I'm only installing 1x 980ti I've been told that water cooling won't be necessary, thus I need the very best performing/looking CPU air cooler for the price you can think of that also fits this mini tower at the link above.

I'm not sure which motherboard I'll be purchasing quite yet, but I think I'll be going with the ASRock X99E-ITX/ac at this link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157588&cm_re=x99_itx-_-13-157-588-_-Product , due it seeming to be the only mother board that supports an i7 5820, DDR4 and will fit in this mini tower.

Overall, I really just need the best performing, best looking, CPU cooler that will fit in this case. If possible, please provide a direct link to your suggestion to ensure that I don't order the wrong model, and thank you so much in advance for your help.

Get a Noctua NH-D15, contact Noctua for a narrow server LGA 2011-V3 mount, and paint the thing black see guide here:

I think the best choice for you would be the Dark Rock TF from Be quiet!, tho you may have to change the top fan for an slim one or simply not use it to get the clearence. It's a very sexy cooler and supports a TDP of up to 220W (A bit less if you change the top fan for a slim one) so, lots of overclocking  headroom

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA68V32N4373&cm_re=DARK_ROCK_TF-_-9SIA68V32N4373-_-Product

The height according to the site is 130,8 mm so its literally less than a milimeter to tall with both fans, i would try and see if it happens to fit and if it doesn't, just removing the top fan or replacing it for a slim one like a sliverstone FN123, tho i think it should cool well enough with a single fan.

Thx so much for the help. So my last question would be, can both a 980 or 980ti and a CPU cooler fit in my build listed below?:

- I purchased an: ASRock X99E-ITX/ac LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 USB 3.0 Mini ITX Intel Motherboard (like suggested) seen here > http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=ASRock+X99E-ITX%2Fac+LGA+2011-v3+Intel+X99+SATA+6Gb%2F&N=-1&isNodeId=1

IN WIN 901 Silver Aluminum / Tempered Glass Mini-I (case) seen here > http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811108457

-  x2 4gb of DDR4 sticks of RAM

- an EVGA Supernova 850g PSU seen here  > http://www.bestbuy.com/site/evga-supernova-power-supply/5408054.p?id=1219127074534&skuId=5408054&ref=17&loc=10&CampaignID=728069&SubscriberID=13520892

- and will be purchasing a new gtx 980ti or 980 within the next few days

People have done builds with this case and GPU combo, so it should fit just fine, but I want to ask the more experienced community if the CPU cooler that the ASrock motherboard comes with (as you can see in the link) or slim low profile cooler like the Noctua NH-L12 120mm & 92mm SSO Bearing PWM Fans will fit with this setup ok.

It is my assumption that because the CPU cooler that comes with the ASrock mini motherboard, comes with a mini motherboard, it should fit smaller cases just fine; but my main concern is if the CPU cooler, the big GPU, RAM, and PSU I got all fit well in this case?
