980Ti death?

So I was in the middle of watching some YT when suddenly my display lost signal.

 

Now the PCIE 16 led on my motherboard lights up but the fans on the card still spin?

 

FML no onboar graphics either...

Remove the video card and take a look at the PCIe slot.

If there's nothing wrong with the slot then it may be dead .

Do a cmos reset and hope for the best.

Try running it in pcie gen 2 mode

My mobo doesn't have PCIE 3.

 

The MSI logo went death for a few secs so definitely something with the gpu.

Ok guys, problem solved L0L!

 

It was the fucking cheapass Corsair CX750M powercables. That's why the led was blinking too. I pulled them out and back in and it worked!

One of the most important rules I always say about PC's: NEVER CHEAP OUT ON THE PSU

 

I almost bought another 980Ti just to send this one RMA
