New build freezing randomly while gaming

Go to solution Solved by metalfromhell,

Problem solved with BIOS flash.

As the title says, i have recently built a pc for my brother with the following specs:

Sirtec - High Power Element BRONZE 500W

ASRock FM2A78M-HD+

ASUS GeForce GTX 750 Ti STRIX OC 2GB DDR5 128-bit

AMD Athlon X4 860K Black Edition 3.7GHz

HyperX Savage 4GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9

Seagate 500GB HDD

Zalman CNPS5X Performa CPU Cooler

Windows 7

The PC freezes randomly, and I have to do a manual restart. This only happens while gaming at random intervals, and not during stress-tests done with Furmark, Aida64 and PassMark. The tests all report no errors related to CPU, GPU, RAM and HDD.

I have reinstalled Windows 7, reinstalled drivers, changed the CPU cooler(the stock cooler was crap), tried 3 different power supplies.

Here is a photo of Resource Monitor readings when it froze: http://s17.postimg.org/gnbxs5yfx/DSC_0085.jpg

Any ideas would help. Thanks. :)

I can only laugh at the Watch_Dog in the corner... damn, anyone even plays that thing?

Try running HWMonitor and look at temperatures when it freezes.

Make sure all power cables are securely attached

Idk... maybe increase CPU voltage [SLIGHTLY]? Or reduce the clock speed, same for GPU
