Sooo the main game i play is csgo and i use to be able to get 300fps with no problem. But lately ive had a drop in performance to where i get a avg of 100 fps. There hasent been any updates to the game that changes any graphic performance. My gpu is a realtek radeon hd 7850.

Maybe drivers update?

But 100fps is good already :3

Just sayin'

Unless you have a 144hz monitor, I fail to see the issue. Anything in excess of 60 FPS will look identical.

Huh ? It's not scientifically impossible. avg people can spot frames up to 200fps and avg soldiers up to 300.

Aint soldiers average people .-.?

It depends on what you are seeing

Soldiers see the scene faster because of the flight or fight response (adrenaline rush)

Avg. People with a 60hz monitor for more than 5 yrs experience a fluid 60fps

Now give those people a 144hz monitor and they won't see the difference right away because the brain is used to processing 60fps

In other words different people can see different Frames per Second

That's absurd. I just switched to a 144hz monitor after using 60 for my entire life. I noticed the difference immediately. To think that anyone wouldn't is crazy. That's like saying if someone stares at a red wall for a while, then you show them a blue wall, they will think it's red until their brain gets used to it.

I don't know how to answer that.

I've got a fully different story when I first got my 144hz monitor but even if some people need time to see the difference it doesn't really change that they "can" see the difference. Obviously it will varies depending on who looks at it, some people can even see up to 500+ but 100fps is something you can perfectly see.

It really depends on what game you're playing

In his case he is playing CSGO

So he most probably had fraps on as a cause for the difference

Yeah that's my point there are different personal preferences when seeing frames per second

I'm not saying it's impossible to see above 100fps, but the matter is how fast your eyes and brain will adjust

It does take time to actually see the difference unless of course you really spend time to see the change in fps or hz (I did this before)

Is your GPU being fully Utilitzed?  Less heat I assume now too.  My GTX 660 (which is the next step higher) can achieve past 144FPS (which I cap at it) with ease.  Something is wrong.

Sometimes bumping up AA can push the GPU to run faster...  Though since nothing has changed is really strange.  Back when I had my Q6600 a similar experience (but the opposite) occured in Euro Truck simulator 2.  usually, i'd get 20 FPS with bottlenecking but one day I got 50 FPS!  never again...

Try restarting?

I bet the real issue is:

Linus needs a #firepole

The Human eye can see more than 100FPS with my experience of 144 FPS vs 60 being smooth against "butter smooth."  VR benefits even further from resolution AND higher than a 144 framerate

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

The Xeon E3 1231 V3 IS BETTER Than the Core i5 4690K and a Significantly better value for the non-overclockers or value shoppers.

The OS is like a kind food, Try it before saying if you like it or don't.
