Hey guys I have a gtx 970 and im stick and tired of being bottle knecked by AMD. I have realized that amd is ass and I don't think directx12 will fix that I am hoping it doesn't but I doubt it. So I was wondering I need a new mother board and cpu what should I get? I don't want to get an i7 because for gaming that is useless I was thinking the i5 4690k but what motherboard should I get? I am thinking about this but How do I know if if can fit in my case http://www.amazon.com/MSI-Gaming-Motherboard-Intel-i5-4690K/dp/B00LA1RU8S/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1436381843&sr=8-2&keywords=i5+4690k&pebp=1436381845999&perid=0NMA7Z51BYGBTECMNSNW. Please link me to what I should get I have a 800 watt powersupply so power isnt a big deal.

An easy 20-34 more fps in your games that are CPU. Maybe 20+ in general.

http://www.pcper.com/reviews/Systems/Quad-Core-Gaming-Roundup-How-Much-CPU-Do-You-Really-Need

Read this article, look at the benchmarks.

Also look in your case to see if the standoffs match up with an ATX board. If you have a full version of windows just get your Windows Key and reinstall.

Your motherboard is ATX size wich means it supports up to ATX size so sizewise you are fine

Linus made a good video about budget z97 motherboards

If you want to save some money you can go an h97 motherboard and an i5 4460 it wont bottleneck your 970 and the difference is most likely 3-5 fps is most games compared to the 4690k.

Thank you thank you it means alot! Also in your opinion is it hard to put in a motherboard?

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

Click on create media to get the tool, it will asked you what version of windows you have. Select the right one. It will then make a bootable installation USB. Use your windows key.

I dont think so building a pc is easy just search "how to replace motherboard" on youtube, watch 2-3 videos and you should be able to do it. One thing is very important is to buy an antistatic wrist wrap so you avoid frying your motherboard (they are very cheap)

Just avoid the Pentium. Get i3-4370 or i5-4460, or you can get 4690K and OC! ;)
