I would say ATH M40X

And as for mic, what are you looking to spend?

Minimal,preferably below $20usd if possible .

Hmm, that is quite a low budget and I wouldn't really know what to recommend..

I have heard the Truststarz mics are decent.. But not sure.

If you were able to spend more; the Blue Snowball is a good bang for buck microphone

For gaming I would definitely go for the AD500X out of that list, if you can handle the sound leakage from a open set. A open back set of cans are much better for gaming although may be a little base light for some. I have heard the 700x's have improved the bass so if you could find a set of them in your budget it may be a better bet.

The Custom One pro have amazing isolation and excellent sub bass (if you want ;) ) Also they are very comfortable but they are not very breathable.
The M40X are excellent headphones. They are very neutral and come with 3 cables. However they are not as comfy as the COP and the isolation is just good.
The AD500X are bass-light compared to the other headphones but most people recommend them.

I've never heard the AD500X or the V-Moda, but you need to check some reviews because all these are very different headphones.

The COP are not efficient so that might be a big deal but you can add the beyer mic just like the V-Moda. (not really recommended though)

My favourite gaming headphones are the DT770 but need some amplification to make them loud.
I hope i helped.

EDIT: As you can see, i don't really say much about the V-Moda, because i believe they are pretty uncomfortable for gaming.

I've owned both the 500X and 700X, and they sound exactly the same in my experience.

Avoid V-moda their products are abhorrent. I'd get the custom one pros as they isolate noise very well and are more comfortable than the M40x. If you had more of a budget I'd recommend a good pair of open back headphones but the Custom One pros should do the job. I'd get a mod mic to go along with them if you can scrape up the cash.

Abhorrent is rather much. No arguments.

How? They're a lot better than certain other popular headphones on the market.

They're like a better beats. They also don't usually have the best build quality with their products and while the bass is warm and rich, it overpowers the rest of the sounds you're trying to hear. Their newest headphones also have the shallowest ear cups I have ever felt and you are basically forced to go onto their store and buy their more plush ones just to prevent pinching.

V-Moda's have great build quality. Some of the best I've seen. Yes, they are very bassy, and while you may not like this that doesn't mean everyone feels the same way. Yes, the cups are rather shallow, but they are designed to be more of a portable headphone, so comfort is not a priority.

"comfort is not the priority" What?? Dude a headphone should always be comfortable regardless of whether or not you are travelling or at home. What in God's name is a pair of headphones if they aren't comfortable? Sure sound quality should take priority but Lord. This is a ploy by V-moda to get people to spend more money. Well of course people have different preferences but even to bassheads it's not nice to lose quality and have a muddled sound because the bass is unbalanced.

Not everyone agrees that comfort is a priority, that's why there are many options on the market. If you don't find a headphone comfortable, return it and try something else. Plus, there are plenty of people that don't find V-Modas uncomfortable in the first place. Not all heads are shaped the same. This not a ploy by a company to do anything - every major headphone company has headphones that are comfortable to some people and not to others, and have more portable options that sacrifice some comfort.

"But even to bassheads" why you gotta group people into meaningless factions? If SOME PEOPLE didn't like the sound of their V-Moda headphones, there would be no favorable reviews, too few sales, and too many returns. The company would go bankrupt.

So which is it, warm and rich or overpowering? Fact is, the v-modas have a very good sound signature for those that want heavily boosted bass. If you're trying to hear other sounds, then v-modas are not for you.
