Card:    EVGA 03G-P4-2667-KR GeForce GTX 660 FTW Signature 2 3GB

Video Drivers:    320.49

My card is running what i would consider hot on idle.  It right now is at 46 C at idle with a custom fan map with the fan at 40% speed.  The gpu load is 1-4 % video engine load 0%.  My power consumption is at 32.4% of tdp.  All of these are from GPU-Z.  Is there any reason why this would be running so warm?  My processor is idling right around 35 C.

I also have some problems with games.  Some games will run fine, then frame rate's will tank and sometimes hit 5-10 fps.  I have V-Sync Enabled on my games.  In my case i have a 120mm fan blowing directly on the video card from the side panel.  One last crazy thing i just noticed is that there is some flex on the cooling shroud on the card and if i press my finger on it slightly the temp jumps up to 55-60 C.  It almost is like something is not making good contact with the cooler?

Thanks for any help!

Temperature wise it seems pretty normal

Today when playing CS:GO my GT 630 was at 73 degrees, you're fine mate.

Their are some problems with cards being over-volted which leads to higher temps on those drivers.

It's fine. Download EVGA Precision to max out the fan if you want.

That was with the 320.18 not the 49's last time I checked.

As for the temps, those are normal gpu temps, cpu's and gpu's do NOT usually have the same temp....

Your temps are completely normal, and anyway the temps under load is what matters, if it is topping 75-80c then you are running pretty hot

Depending on the airflow and temps inside of your case the idle temp is not bad with factory overclock and all.... that flexing with increased temperature doesn't sound normal hough. I'd investigate that a bit further, take the card out and take a closer look. Maybe some screws are not as tight as they should be.
