Assuming I have two drives, and both drives are SSDs, which case would be faster for gaming? (even if the difference is minimal)

1. OS + Games in one drive

2. OS and Games in separate drives

I would assume second case would be better, but just wondering as I will be upgrading my SSD soon, and was wondering what to do with the current one.

I don't think it will matter unless one of the SSDs is faster than the other. I would suggest keeping the games on a separate drive.

its probabally better to have speed sensitive data, like games ont he 2nd ssd that isnt being used by windows, and other non speed sensitive data like movies on the boot drive.

At the end of the day, the diference is likely pretty small, as ssd's are pretty fast

Hey StormEye,

Gaming relies on the storage's performance only for its loading times (bot initial and in-game) and the speed of autosaves. Having the OS and the games on separate or on the same drive shouldn't make any noticeable difference. I'd say put them on separate drives so if you need to make changes to the OS partition, you don't have to delete the games. :)
