so i got a hp Deskjet 2540 and its a wifi printer and was wondering if insted of pluging in the usb to my pc if i could just use it over wifi and if so i cant get it to work over wifi on my pc 

My speakers dont even fit on or under my desk...PA's FTW

windows 8/8.1?

8.1 and i have connected to the printer over wifi now but i have to disconnect from my wifi and connect to the printer every time now is there a way to change that 

My speakers dont even fit on or under my desk...PA's FTW

Here's what happened to me on our wifi printer. I couldn't install the driver cd on the win8.1 laptops, but it worked on my win 7 gaming rig. On the windows 8.1 laptops I had to go into the control panel under printer and device and click add device and go through the process. It's been working no issues ever since
