im running a amd fx 8320 at stock speed and want to overclock it to around 4.5ghz (cooled with a corsair h75 push/pull with sp120 fans) MOBO is asus M5A99X and i have a 650w psu but will be upgrading it to a rm700i....... using amd overdrive it says i have 36 degrees in thermal margin

what setting would  i have to use to  reach this or even get a high overclock

voltage under 1.4v , Multiplier to 22.5 , Load Line set to Medium ; if its stable go down in voltage till its unstable in stress tests ; personaly i have mine at 1.356v @ 4.5Ghz and never goes above 50*C under heavy load

CPU : i5 4670k @ 4.2Ghz | Cooler : NH-D14 | GPU : Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 [OC] | MB : Asus Z87-Pro | RAM : A-DATA 8GB 1600Mhz CL9 XPG Black | SSD : 850Evo 250GB

Increase base clock. But keep in mind when you increase the base clock the processor becomes unstable unless you increase core voltage, but keep core voltage around 1.3V (checked in the internet, fx processor handle more voltage than  I thought). Both the voltage and base clock are in the motherboard settings.

Under 1.4V? I know 8320s can be undervolted but even stock is around 1.4V and no reason to undervolt when overclocking. Not everyone does great in the silicon lottery

@JimmyJimJam its in my sig : NH-D14

@Aniallation it depends on the motherboard aswell not only the CPU , but usualy FX 8300s can reach 4.5Ghz with 1.4v +/-0.02v or more depending on the cip , yes
