8ms is at the absolute limit of what I would call OK/consider for a purchase but that screen does have a 6ms "fast mode", I'd generally try to stick to 5-6ms on a nice IPS type screen but it is noticeable, its a trade off I'm personally willing to make for a nicer quality panel though (aka not TN). All that being said the listed response times are rarely accurate.
