Do I need more?

Hello I plan on getting myself a gtx 980 Hall of Fame from Galax and in my current system I have an EVGA 500w 80+ certified power supply and i was wondering if i need to upgrade my power supply or will i be fine. If i do need to upgrade please leave suggestions.

It will power it but you should get a better PSU. Antec HCG is going for low prices lately as is the Seasonic S12 620.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

welcome to the ltt community, plese follow your own topic in most cases should be fine unless you run oced 5960x or just any modern intel cpu with ton of fast ram, drives(6'+) and bunch external devices

It will work, but don't do it. That is VERY unbalanced. A Lamborghini will run "fine" off petrol that some guy sells to you off the street but that doesn't mean you should do it.
