I have an old 600VA UPS which used to power a 300W PSU , Now i built a new rig , which takes about 380W and runs on 520W PSU

Is there any problem if i use my old 600VA UPS for this new PSU ? or there are any hiccups regarding compatibility ?

Well if you system draw is too high it will trip the over current protection on the UPS and your PC will turn off during a battery backup.

An easy way to test is to unplug it if it turn off your system you know it's not powerful enough, btw what UPS are you using.

It didnt trip when the power went out , It was all fine.

It's an old HP ups , don't know anything except the VA :(

If you have a model number or more info I can get a better idea of the specs but in generally if you are on idle it won't be a problem it's when your system is on load doing work and the power goes out the UPS can't sustain it.

Well depends what you are doing when the UPS needs to take over.

If it needs to take over during gaming, you might get into trouble.

If you are just watching youtube or something else not-intensive, it should be fine.
