Hello,

I have 2  USB 3.0 ports and 2 USB 2.0 ports on my laptop.

I have a Kingston 3.0 USB stick. If I plug it in 1 USB 3.0 port it doesn't get detected. If I plug it in the other ports the stuck gets detected.

So I was thinking that the specific USB port was broken so I tested it with the wireless dongle of my mouse and that worked,

I tried with a different USB stick and that worked as well.

How can I resolve this problem?

It's possible the USB 3.0 drivers aren't properly installed.

It only uses the drivers if you plug a 3.0 device into a 3.0 port.

If you plug a 2.0 device in a 3.0 port or the other way round, it will always use 2.0 drivers, and they of course work.

Go to the support page of your laptop and download usb 3.0 drivers from there.

Well I don't think that's the problem since my usb stick gets detected in the other USB 3.0 port.

Update your USB drivers. Start > Search "Device manager" > Search forUniversal Serial Bus controllers.

It's possible the port is controlled by a different 3.0 controller, which means port A uses driver A and port B uses driver B, just to make it clear.
