Audio-Technica AT2020

Go to solution Solved by Octavialicious,

XLR to 3.5 and stick it in input jack on your audio card ?

XLR to 3.5 or XLR to usb would work, but the signal would be REALLY quiet. I would recommend this

It's fairly small and plugs in via USB, it's very powerful :)

So... I get an AT2020 microphone and the problem is that is a Condenser microphone with XLR connection (I was planning to use it on my PC, but I dont saw that it was a XLR microphone) . I came with the idea that If i get a XLR to USB cable, it would work fine, but it doesnt work. What do I have to do to make it work on PC?

So I only have to use an Audio Interface?

Pretty much. You need something to give the microphone more power.

See it like a pair of headphones with high ohm. Those too need something to amplify the signal.
