I don't think it's a matter of cleanliness, eventually all of your keyboards will look like this and will require a cleaning. How long eventually is depends on how clean you are, but it's still inevitable. For me it took about a year.

I have Data Vac electric duster which I use every other day on my PC fan filters and all gaming peripherals. Hopefully that should be enough to keep it clean. I may take apart my keyboard later to see if it looks bad under my key caps.

True I blew compressed air on my G15 every week or so when I first got it and after about a year or so I took the key caps off and it had a bunch of dust under. But I cleaned it and individually brushed every key cap with a tooth brush and now it looks brand new again. :)

Just got around to painting my DK9008, had to remove all the key caps and surprise, surprise, it wasn't this dirty. I'd gotten it from a seller locally and other than some dust and a strand of hair or two, it was pretty clean. used a thinner paint brush, and swept thru the channels between the keys and pretty soon, it was pretty darn clean.

I clean it by using my electric vacuum cleaner every week. I never bother to pull out the key which has the stabilizer under it because I'll know the squeak gets worst when I do it(never bother to lube it but I think it's okay if I never use them alot since I'm working outdoor).

note: If you have Cherry MX, Alps, or Topre switch keyboard, use a keycap puller tool or risk damage to your caps and switches.

And now wipe that glossy case. there is some fingerprints/smudge on there.

Heh. The glossy part is pretty easy to clean, just wipe it down with a wet paper towel and it looks like new, I just don't do that

That's not the part of the keyboard I touch so I don't care how clean or dirty it is :D

Yes, all keyboard eventually will look like that. Its inevitable. There should be some kind of a protective cover we can place over the keyboard to stop dirt from settling inside all the little gaps on the board, while still being to type properly.

But then your desk would get all filthy.
