Feeling down? Maybe people here can cheer you up

For me, one of my closest friends just stopped talking to me. She called me rude because I did not want to share my picture to this friend of mine I met over the interweb (it's my picture, so it is my choice... And privacy). Then she continued calling me selfish even though I've been getting nicer and much more generous since a year ago.

It's unfair to call someone rude because they won't share a picture with someone you know over the Internet. Why did she call you selfish?

don't be harsh, don't call her a psycho. Maybe she has her own opinions. Calling her a psycho makes you just like her. Don't do that

Let's be honest, if she gets mad because you don't want to show yourself in a picture and even takes it so far as to not talk to you?

I'd just try to figure out the logic behind her actions by asking her questions. If her emotions are too much and they don't make sense, might want to ditch her.

 

Who even calls other people selfish? Like what would that even entail in such a relationship?

Calling someone selfish just because you don't want to reveal your identity is weird though.

Again, why is it not an option to simply ask her to explain her reasoning? She called you selfish. She has to back up that claim with reason and evidence. Why do we need to assume her motives?

 

Human interaction is only so complicated because people made it that way. If everybody just gave it to each other straight, we'd know where we stand with everybody.

Above all she needs a dictionary and some respect.

She's the one being rude, not you. Unless you've promised to send a picture it isn't rude to say "no". It is rude (and childish), however to ignore someone because he/she did something you don't like.

Maybe she'll see how childish she's being about it all.

I'm not THAT set on privacy, but I like to keep my opinions and name separated, mainly because I still want a job. That being said, it's probably fairly easy to link my accounts on different media together, so whatever.

You're assuming everyone's reasonable. Looking at how she's behaving now I don't think she's very reasonable.
