Hello,

I am not sure where to post this, but I think it belongs over here.

So, it is around 25 ºC in my room (77 ºF) and when I am gaming my laptop is running really hot, I can't even touch it for more than 10 seconds. When I am gaming, my CPU (i3 3227U, I am using the iGPU) passes 80 ºC when it's at 90% load. I think I'm also noticing some thermal throttling.

Should I worry, and can I do anything about it?

I don't want to buy laptop cooling pads because I am saving money for a new pc.

Thanks in advance,

MrChavelo

Laptop <-- This.

How are your fans doing? Spinning like crazy?

When I am gaming, yes, really loud

That's just a limitation of a laptop and the cooling system. IT will run hot and the fans will whine because they need to work overtime to cool the CPU.. Not much that can be done..

1. Keep it on a flat surface

2. Put a fan next to it xD

I was hitting similar temps on my Asus G50vt, which ran a Core 2 Duo @ 2.14GHz, and a 512MB GTX 9800m. The thing was quite the work horse...

It eventually died not from heat exhaustion, but from inadequacy (and a dead display...).  :(
