1. Budget & Location: My budget is between 2000 and 2500 USD. (This does Not include peripherals)

2. Aim: Gaming, HD video editing, Web surfing, Movies, and some adobe Stuff.

3. Monitors I Currently have none, but I would rather run on one large very nice one then 2 smaller not so nice ones.

4. Peripherals I currently have none but was liking the Corsair K95 or a Keyboard that is stealthed. or has the characters on the front of the keys instead of the top. Mouse: I am not sure.

5. Why are you upgrading?

Because my current computer is a Acer Aspire V3 and it is runing AMD A8-4500M with Radeon HD Graphics 1.9Ghz

And I have never owned a computer that even has a dedicated graphics card.

My Old build design is as follows.

Case: Corsair Vengence Series C70 Gunmetal Black

Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VI Extreme LGA 1150

Prosessor: Intel i7 4770K Haswell 1150

Cooler: Corsair H100i

Memory: Corsair Dominator Platinum 8gb 2x4 2400

Graphics Card: ASUS GTX770 OC 2gb or  ASUS GTX780 OC 3gb

SSD: Samsung 840 Pro Series 256Gb

CD/ DVD Drive: Asus

HDD: WD Black 2TB 7200RPM 64MB Cache Sata 6.0

PSU: Corsair AX860i Platinum Full Modular or SeaSonic Platinum 1000W Full Modular

Note: I also plan to OC the Prosessor or 4.2 - 4.6 I will also OC the Grapics card if I feel it can handle it.

My Updated build design is as follows. Black indicates that it is the same. Blue indicates that it has changed.

http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/39477-pc-budget-solutions-gaming-pc-planning-guide-ver-ii/ Pretty much my overkill section. Due to pump issues with the 100I, I'd recommend an older H100 or a water 2.0/3.0 extreme

To add, the MSI Mpower board is just SICK.  You can save money that way as it offers amazing OC performance.

Specs: Core I7-2600K @ 4.5GHz @ 1.35V, 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance Black 1600MHz CL9, Cooler Master Evo 212, MSI Z77 Mpower Motherboard, Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X @ 1000/1400, Cooler Master HAF 932 Blue Edition w/ 3 Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 120MM fans (2 up top 1 in the bottom) replaced side panel with a window, and rear fan with a Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 140MM, Cooler Master GX 650 80+ Bronze PSU, Samsung DVD-RW, Samsung 840 Pro 128GB SSD, Seagate 750GB SATA III 7200RPM

First of all your build is completey overkill on anything except the GPU. If I were you I would get a MAXIMUS VI Formula which should come out the first week of August and is targeted way more to gaming whereas the Extreme isn't really built for gaming but rather extreme overclocking. You should also get 16GB of Vengeance memory instead of wasting it on Dominator platinums. The power supply from the i series is also completely useless as all it adds is a WATT meter and some features to control the fan of the PSU via software. I've also heard that the corsair link is often buggy with power supplies. Get an AX860 instead. Now that you've got about 200 euro's spare, you can get a 770 SLI.

Case: 650D CPU: i5 4670K GPU: GTX 770 Gaming @1306MHz Motherboard: MAXIMUS VI Hero PSU: AX760 CPU Cooler: H100i RAM: 8GB Vengeance Pro @1866MHz Storage: 840 250GB SSD / 2TB Seagate Barracuda 7200.14

Here you go: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1kWEc

This should be more than enough to fit your needs.

Points about your initial build:

The maximus is throwing money at what you don't need. A much cheaper motherboard could do everything you need just as well.

Platinums are a waste of money. Ram is ram. Same specs= same performance. Also, no need for ram above speeds of 1600 as performance differences are negligible. 8gigs is also not enough imo for what you will be doing.

The Samsung 840 pro and non pro have negligible differences in speed. No need to spend more money for little to no performance gain.

No need for a caviar Black when you already have an ssd. A barracuda or caviar blue will do.

A ax760i will be enough for 2 780's in sli and a full watercooling loop. Your psu choices are both overkill.

You can easily reach 4.6ghz with the a cooler of that tier. Overclocking a gpu is much easier than overclocking the cpu. Look up Msi Afterburner.

forgot ram, switch the titan with 780 superclocked and and vengane pro ram like 16gb

For that budget you could probably get 2 780s

You can't fit two 780's and a 4770K in that budget.

System Specs - CPU: i7 4770K - RAM: 8GB(2x4GB) Vengeance Pro - Motherboard: Maximus VI Gene - Case: Modded PowerMac G5 - CPU Cooler: H100i - PSU: AX860i - SSD: Samsung 840 Series 120GB and Kingston V300 120GB - HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB - Graphics Card: 2x GTX 780 - Case Fans: SP120s and Spectre 140s - Headphones: HD700, Alpha Dog, SE215

Sony A7R w/ Zeiss 55mm F1.8

Okay So we have established that My MB is by far the biggest thing wrong, next I need 16gbs of ram, and I think I am going to switch to the Thermaltake Water 3.0 Extreme but I am going to throw some noctuas on it.

I need help on deciding on a MB and PSU.

AX850 or XFX 850 Pro, but for top quality an AX860I would be best.

Specs: Core I7-2600K @ 4.5GHz @ 1.35V, 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance Black 1600MHz CL9, Cooler Master Evo 212, MSI Z77 Mpower Motherboard, Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X @ 1000/1400, Cooler Master HAF 932 Blue Edition w/ 3 Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 120MM fans (2 up top 1 in the bottom) replaced side panel with a window, and rear fan with a Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 140MM, Cooler Master GX 650 80+ Bronze PSU, Samsung DVD-RW, Samsung 840 Pro 128GB SSD, Seagate 750GB SATA III 7200RPM

Seasonic has a 860 that is also platinum and costs less....Is there a real difference?

The AX860I is a re-branded Seasonic so essentially it's the SAME PSU.

Should I get two? And what MB would be the best choice for that?

Considering you only got 8gigs of ram in the beginning, I don't imagine you are doing anything super intensive.

You don't need anything more than a single 770 if you're playing games at 1080p since it can max out almost every game at the resolution.

If I'm right about how light your work will be, my first build would be enough.

If not, please tell me how heavy your work will actually be.
