HyperX Cloud or HyperX Cloud II?

Do you want 7.1 or stereo, that seems to be the main difference from what I can tell.

Do not  as I  do, and  not  as I say. Instead do as you may..

Apparently the second version uses a USB powered amplifier and some users have said that it is much noisier than just a straight 3.5mm jack with no added amplification.

My brother has the original ones and they are plenty good. My sony MDR 101s somehow sound nearly as good.

how good is hearing music over them - that's most times a big problem of gaming headset

@042 I had both and I preferred the Cloud 1 by far. The 2 had some annoying noise from the cheap soundcard and the cable on the 1 is much better in length and in usability.

Music is loud and clear. He uses them for both gaming and videos on his tablet (as do I with my walkman headphones) and they are very comfy. The original version comes with a passive mic switch/volume control, an extention lead, and a headphones/mic to 4 pole adapter for use on mobile devices and computers witn a 4 pole headset jack.

I kinda miss the Cloud. My new headphones are great but the Cloud was so comfy <3

I think logan made a video about them. I'm pretty sure he said that the new model wasn't worth the money, compared to the old ones

Nvm. I confused it with his review of the Siberia v3 or whatever they called now.

If you don't use the USB sound card on the Clouds (pop hiss disconnect) and upgrade the mic (breaks) you could have either of these for less

$45 Gemini DJ HSR-1000 (closed can = better bass) or $47 Takstar HI 2050 (open can = better gaming)

$30 VModa / $43 Mod Mic

------

$75-91

or upgrade with  $65 Philips SHP9500 (open can = better gaming) and a VModa/Mod Mic
